BIN, explained

Marketplaces such as Afternic, Sedo, Atom and GoDaddy Auctions support BIN listings, and a buyer who pays the BIN completes the sale on the platform's terms. Afternic also shows listings in partner registrars' search results, and names enrolled in its Fast Transfer program at a participating registrar move to the buyer automatically once payment is complete. Many sellers pair a BIN with a make-offer option, so buyers below the price can still start a conversation.

A BIN converts buyers who would never send an offer, and it works best on names priced within reach of a small business. Set it at a price you would be glad to take today, because an underpriced BIN can be bought quickly by another investor instead of an end user. Keep prices consistent across venues, and remove listings when a name sells or lapses; a stale BIN on a name you no longer own creates a sale you cannot deliver.

If AI agents shop for names on a founder's behalf, a published BIN with instant checkout is the kind of listing they can complete without a negotiation.

Example. A seller lists a brandable .com with a BIN in the low four figures plus a make-offer option, so a founder can buy at checkout while lower offers still arrive.
